The three principle vehicles for artistic expression in the Islamic world are architecture, the arts of the book -calligraphy, illustration, illumination, and book binding-, and the arts of the object -ceramics, metalwork, glass, woodwork, textiles, and ivory.
Art & Identity is committed to contribute to the revival of the rich traditions of Islamic art by re-introducing traditional materials, forms, techniques and designs into a contemporary market. We also aim to educate and cultivate appreciation for Islamic art in all its traditional forms, as well to promote modern art from the Islamic world. |
